yourn· is built on a simple idea: your shopping data belongs to you. We don't sell your data, we don't serve ads, and we don't build profiles for third-party advertisers. Your data is sent to our servers to power your feed, and you can delete all of it at any time. We make money through flat affiliate commissions when you buy something you love — that's it.
Who We Are
yourn· is operated by Yourn, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy describes how we handle information when you use the yourn· mobile application (the "App").
What We Collect
We've designed yourn· to minimize the data we hold about you. Here's exactly what we collect and where it lives:

We do not collect your name, phone number, location, contacts, browsing history, or any data from other apps on your device.
How Scoring Works
yourn· matches products to your preferences using a scoring engine that runs on our servers. Your persona is sent to our servers so we can match products to you and power AI features. We use it only to personalize your experience — never to build profiles for advertisers or to sell to anyone.
AI Features
When you use AI-powered features (like persona analysis or search), your request is sent through our server to Anthropic's API (Claude). We act as a proxy so that no API keys are stored on your device. We do not store the content of these AI conversations on our servers beyond what's needed to complete the request. Anthropic's use of data is governed by their privacy policy.
How We Make Money
We earn flat affiliate commissions through partnerships with Impact and AvantLink when you purchase a product through the App. This is a standard referral fee paid by the brand — it doesn't change the price you pay, and it doesn't influence how products are scored or ranked. Your persona score is the only thing that determines your feed order.
What We Never Do
We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. We will never serve ads in the App. We will never use your persona data to build marketing profiles for third parties. We will never monetize your data in any way other than the affiliate model described above.

Data Retention & Deletion
Your style profile, interactions, and any photos you share are stored on our servers to personalize your feed and power AI features. You can delete all of it at any time by choosing "Delete My Data" in the App, which permanently erases your persona and interaction history from our servers. Uninstalling the App removes your data from your device; to also remove your server-side data, use "Delete My Data" before uninstalling or contact us to request deletion. Your anonymous device token is retained for authentication and is removed when you delete your data.
Children's Privacy
yourn· is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (TLS), AES-256 encryption for stored personas, JWT-based device authentication, and server-side API key management. No system is perfectly secure, but we've designed the architecture to minimize what's tied to you: we use anonymous device authentication and never collect your name or phone number, so your persona isn't linked to your real-world identity.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you through the App before they take effect. We'll never retroactively weaken your privacy protections without your explicit consent.
